Kat Hnatyshyn, a self-sustaining minister for Community of Christ, is on the Mission Center President Team for Midlands Mission Center in the Central USA Mission Field.
Kat was pastor of her congregation for 10 years and served on the Leadership Council in the Mission Center. She currently serves on the Investment Committee with World Church and on the World Church Finance Board. She holds the priesthood office of High Priest.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, Kat received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Speech Communications and Minor in Church Leadership and Religion from Graceland University, Lamoni, Iowa. Kat and her husband Alex live in Overland Park, KS with two small boys, Jack and Pete. She works as a Regional Market Director for a local credit union.
Don, a part-time minister for Community of Christ, is on the Mission Center President Team for Midlands Mission Center in the Central USA Mission Field.
Don has been involved in congregational youth work as well as summer youth camps. Don worked as pastor for Solid Rock, a monthly youth ministry, for several years. He has been employed by the Church for almost 18 years serving the members of Midlands Mission Center first as a youth minister then as Outreach Coordinator.
A convert to Community of Christ in 1973 after a reunion that changed his life. Don and his wife Carol of 42 years live in Independence. Don and Carol have raised three kids Katy, Jeff, and Zach and blessed with seven grandkids all in Independence.
Carina Lord Wilson
Carina Lord Wilson holds the position of executive minister for Community of Christ as well as financial officer for Midlands and Central USA Mission Center. She holds the office of bishop.
Carina holds a bachelor of arts in liberal studies from Graceland University and a master of business administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Carina’s previous positions include Herald House business manager, enrichment group leader, accounts payable manager, budget specialist, and executive assistant to the Presiding Bishopric. Her accounting career path is diversified and includes public accounting, manufacturing, advertising, and construction. She has taught introductory accounting classes at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and sophomore level accounting career-preparatory classes at Ulster County Community College.
